Hyderabad, October 7, 2012: Kingfisher Premium - The Great Indian Octoberfest brought together an amazing selection of Indian rock bands, classic pop groups and the best of folk artists to provide a sensational end to the weekend. A musically charged up evening along with free flowing beer, finger-licking food, eclectic shopping at the bohemian flea market and an arena of fun competitive games took the excitement levels to a fever pitch on the last day of the fest.
An impressive line-up of bands and artists - Lost Stories, Popan & East India Co., Agam and more enthralled a packed audience on the last day. The evening reached a frenzy as contemporary folk king; Raghu Dixit took to stage and enjoyed a captive audience.
The Great Indian Octoberfest across the three days saw an impressive line-up of over 30 bands and artists such as Lost Stories, Popan & East India Co., Agam, Hari and Sukhmani and many more. The city which was high on beer and music saw over 6000 liters of beer guzzled and an attendance by over 7000 people.
Undeniably, the highlight of Kingfisher Premium Great Indian Octoberfest was the continuous flow of Kingfisher beer straight from the breweries to the stalls. Thousands of people swung to the music. To help match peoples favorite beer to their favourite foods, a large section of the venue was dedicated to mouth watering delicacies. The stalls offered a vast menu encompassing spicy Indian and flavorful Continental cuisines.
People cruised from stall to stall seeking out small treasures at the vibrant flea market. From clothes, bags, jewellery, accessories to antiques, furniture and memorabilia, the little kiosks had something for everyone. A host of cutting edge artists from around the country combined technique; style and art, while displaying their talents live at the art centre. Large groups of friends and families teamed up to play interactive beer games at the gaming zone and participate in a variety of fun competitions.
Inspired by the Munich's big annual beer shindig, Kingfisher Premium introduced The Great Indian Octoberfest in Bangalore in 2005. As a prelude to the Bangalore edition, the Hyderabad fest for sure is living upto a promise to be a destination of its kind with Live music, great food, non-stop fun and plenty of Good Times.
