Chinese Dragon Boat Festival at Taj Krishna
Taj Krishna, brings to its guests an extraordinary dining experience by hosting the Dragon Boat Festival at Golden Dragon - the Specialty Cantonese & Sichuan restaurant from 19th June to 28th June, 2015.
The Dragon Boat Festival, locally known as the Duanwu Festival, is a traditional festival which originated in ancient China. This festival is popular among South East Asian countries including Hong Kong, Mandarin, Macau, and Singapore.
In the coming days, the culinary team at the iconic fine dining restaurant will create a special menu that reflects the traditional cuisine of the Zhou dynasty and each dish is endowed with subtlety and refinement. Inspired by the Dragon boat races, this traditional festival is known for interesting customs and time-honored delicacies. Savour the specially crafted menu by our Master Chef Hung Fong Ng that will leave you wanting for more and will leave you with lingering memories of this legendary festival.
The menus opens with exciting entrees such as Zongzi (Chicken or vegetorion rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaf), Steamed pancake roll (vegetarian / chicken), Wok tossed fish in chilli sweet bean glaze, Panfried rock lobster wolf berries in tangy butter cream, Stir fried calamari rings in exotic XO sauce, Stir fried prawns with sweet potato noodles and pickled chilli, Steamed fish with Morning glory and seasonal greens Chinese wine sauce, Steamed egg with garlic, Beijing style crispy chicken, Stir fried sliced chicken with szechwan pepper corns, Dry spiced minced lamb with haricot beans and chachoy, Stir fried silken tofu with straw and oyster mushrooms whole garlic dry red chilli, Crunchy water chestnuts sweet corn snow peas in fresh chilli coriander sauce, Steamed wheat noodles with shitake bean sprouts and wild pepper (chicken/ vegetarian), Chinese glutinous rice with vegetable / chicken. The Dessert menu is dotted with favourites such as Chocolate centered glutinous rice dumplings and many more.
The A la carte festival is open for both lunch (12.30 pm to 3:00pm) and dinner (7:30pm to 11:30 pm)
