Taj Falaknuma Palace hosted the Rice Bucket Challenge in association with the Sapna Iktara Foundation

Hyderabad September 5, 2014: Today, the city witnessed the massive Rice Bucket Challenge at Taj Falaknuma Palace in association with the Sapna Iktara Foundation.
The occasion was graced by celebrated Indian filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, Girish Sehgal, Shiraz Gidwani supporting the cause distributing 500 portions of Hyderabadi Biryani to the underprivileged at the KBR Park opposite the Cancer hospital.
The Rice Bucket Challenge, is India's answer to the trending ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, an initiative conceptualised by Hyderabad based journalist Manju Latha Kalanidhi, who also was present to lend her support to the cause.

On this occasion Mr. Shiraz Gidwani, Chief Executive, Iktara World said, "The Rice Bucket Challenge encourages individuals to donate cooked or uncooked rice to an underprivileged person. Chairman of the Sapna Iktara Foundation| Mahesh Bhatt, and HEH Princess Ezra distributed the local rice delicacy, Hyderabadi Biryani to 500 people on the streets and slums of Hyderabad."
