Manjeera Mall calls for entries to support the ALS Research

Hyderabad, September 2: Manjeera Mall at Kukatpally has chosen a unique way to engage with its consumers and create awareness for the ALS Research and contribute to the charity. Manjeera Mall is calling for entries of people who would like to come and undertake the Ice Bucket Challenge at a particular time along with friends and family within the premises of the mall. The Kirak movie fame Chandhini participate and Mall authorities have made arrangement for a number of people to take the challenge at the same time.

While announcing the initiative, Mr. VivekanandGajjala, Executive Director, Manjeera Mall said, “We at Manjeera Mall have constantly tried to give back to our patrons and the society as much as we can. Taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is yet another way to reach out to the masses and create awareness, raise some money and support the research of ALS. We are hoping that enough number of people from Hyderabad turn up to take the challenge and we can set a record / example for the rest of country to come forth and help the cause. I am hoping the Cyber City comes over in numbers and becomes a part of this initiative.”

The Ice Bucket Challenge, sometimes called the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, is an activity involving dumping a bucket of ice water on someone's head to promote awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and encourage donations to research. It went viral on social media during July-August 2014. In the US, many people participate for the ALS Association, although some individuals have opted to donate their money from the Ice Bucket Challenge to other organizations.
