Kedi – Music for Romantic Mood

Romantic hero Nagarjuna is coming up with yet another interesting film ‘Kedi’ after pretty long gap. He looks young, romantic, stylish and handsome as usual. Certainly the expectations for the audio would also be high as the film has been picturised in a stylish manner. Although I am giving my review a bit late I hope that this album will be as interesting as the previous musical hits of Nag-Sandeep combination. So here we go….
Kedigadu Music: Sandeep Chowta Lyrics: Chinni Charan Singer: Sunidhi Chauhan
The album kick starts with a title track ‘Kedigadu’. The pattern of drum beats is interesting to listen and the same tempo has been maintained till the end. With a truly fresh orchestral score, Sandeep Chowta displays a distinct piece. Sunidhi Chauhan’s vocals are expressive and added life to the song. This piece sounds so unique that I really enjoyed it and I think most of the music lovers will like it too.
Neeva Na Neeve Na Music: Sandeep Chowta Lyrics: Chinni Charan Singer: Arjith Singh, Neha Kakkar
‘Neeve Na Neeve Na’ is a soft romantic melody with fragile love theme. Chinni Charan rendered beautiful lyrics. This is yet another beautiful track that stands on its merit musically and it is a perfect piece for a romantic hero like Nag. This wonderful track has been build up in a smooth and enjoyable manner. Arjith Singh and Neha Kakkar vocals are good.
Enduko Antha Music: Sandeep Chowta Lyrics: Chinni Charan Singer: Saleem Shahida
‘Endhuko Emito’ is a sad song with heart wrenching lyrics. But it is very sad that a wrong singer was chosen for this emotional number. The first and foremost thing is that the singer failed in pronouncing the words perfectly like ‘Nisabdham’ was pronounced as ‘Nishabdham’, ‘Baadha’ as ‘Badhaa’, ‘Manishi’ as ‘Manisi’, ‘Ardham’ as ‘Aradham’, ‘Nijama’ as ‘Nisama’, ‘Saaswatham’ as ‘Shaashwatham’, ‘Prasna’ as ‘Prashna’ and so on. Thus the song spoils the listener’s mood. The efforts of the musician and lyricist have completely gone vain. I’m really frustrated to listen to such imperfect vocals. Our film makers should seriously realize that the beauty of the song lies in the perfect language pronunciation.
Relarey Music: Sandeep Chowta Lyrics: Chinni Charan Singer: Sonu Kakkar
‘Relarey Relarey Rela Rey….’ is also a beautiful sound track but vocals rendered by the wrong singer. On my God! These singers are really spoiling the beauty of songs with their weird pronunciation of words. One can enjoy the track only if he/she ignores the singer’s pronunciation.
Short and Sweet Music: Sandeep Chowta Lyrics: Krishna Chaitanya Singer: Sandeep Chowta
The harmonization is smooth with Sandeep Chowta’s free flowing vocals. Krishna Chaitanya penned stylish lyrics and but the track is not so interestingly composed.
Neelo Emunnadi Music: Sandeep Chowta Lyrics: Chinni Charan Singer: Rahul Nambiar
Aah! Finally, here is an energetic track with catchy drum beats. This piece will make you shake your hips and legs. Rahul Nambiar rendered his energetic voice but he has to concentrate on pronunciation too. Chinni Charan’s lyrics are lively, catchy and full of life.
Janiya Jane Music: Sandeep Chowta Lyrics: Sanddep Chowta Singer: Neha Kakkar
‘Janiye Jane’ starts with Neha’s yearning voice and flimsy little tune before going into the acoustic beats. The entire track goes in a fantastic manner with repeat notes ‘Janiya Jane Jana Soniya Sun Le Sona….Hum Tum…..Yara Dum Dum….la la la laa la laa la….uuhuhummmm….’ and Neha drives the entire song enchantingly. It’s joyful, upbeat track highly recommended for romantic drives. The pattern of synchronization is a typical Sandeep’s style. The piece is so enjoyable that it makes me want to dance along to the track. It’s idealistic, enjoyable and interesting to listen.
Kedigadu (Orchestra) Music: Sandeep Chowta Lyrics: Chinni Charan Singer: Sunidhi Chauhan
With heavy instrumentation, this is the repetitive of first track in the album. But honestly, it’s uninteresting to listen to. Therefore I recommend the listeners to simply ignore this track.
Muddante (Remix) Music: Sandeep Chowta Lyrics: Chinni Charan Singer: Tippu, Geeta Madhuri
This is the remix of ‘Mu mu mu mudhante Chedha’ from ANR’s old classic ‘Adhrustavanthulu’. With some interesting synth sounds and danceable beats, Sandeep handled with care the acoustic version of this track. Chinni Charan’s notes have been supported by Tippu and Geeta Madhuri’s charming vocals. The song is quite cute and nice to listen.
On the whole the music of ‘Kedi’ creates the romantic mood. ‘Kedigadu’, ‘Neeve Na’, ‘Neelo Emunnade’ and the remix ‘Muddante’ are good; ‘Jaaniya Jane’ is a great romantic number. But some songs lost its glory only because of the wrong choice of singers. The entire album would be stunning with right selection of singers and the impact would have been much better. Actually I expected atleast one song from the heroine of this film, Mamta Mohandas, who is a very good singer. Since ‘Kedi’ is Nag’s film, the songs’ picturisation would definitely be a feast to eyes of viewers.
