'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo', which has generated unprecedented buzz thanks to the blockbuster music album and trailer, has released. Has Trivikram given a success to Allu Arjun, who didn't have a release in 2019? Does the movie reach the expectations? Does the film have the potential to become a Sankranthi winner? Read on..

Valmiki (Murali Sharma), a middle class man, swaps his son with the son of his rich friend, owner of the company where he works, Ramachandra (Jayaram) in a hospital unbeknownst to the latter. While his real son Raj (Sushanth) grows up in Vaikuntapuram as a rich kid, he raises his friend's son middle class without much affection. Bantu (Allu Arjun) falls in love with his boss (Pooja Hegde) at a tourism office. But she gets engaged to Raj. After an unexpected encounter, Bantu realizes who his real parents are. He decides to go to Vaikunthapuram and sort out the issues, his parents are going through. How will Bantu enter Vaikuntapuram and resolve the problems? Will he reveal that he is their real son?

Allu Arjun is back and how! The stylish star gives an excellent performance. His one liners, stylish & cool dance moves and performance will surely be a treat for his fans. Pooja Hegde is beauty personified. She gets to play a good role. The chemistry between Bunny and Pooja, especially in the songs, will be a treat for audiences. Murali Sharma as a cunning friend and father fits the bill. It's a good comeback for Tabu in Telugu cinema. She plays a crucial role and her performance will surely earn her many more good roles in the future. Malayalam actor Jayaram plays another important role and he is good. Sushanth has done complete justice to his role. Sunil entertains in a comic role. Navdeep, Rahul Ramakrishna and others are good.

Technical aspects

SS Thaman's music is a very big asset for the movie. The background score is beautiful as well. The songs, which have been already chartbusters, were shot beautifully by P.S.Vinod. The choreography is excellent. The production values are rich.

Plus Points

Trivikram Mark Entertainment
Story & screenplay
Bunny-Pooja Chemistry
Songs & choreography

Minus Points

Lags in the Second Half
No strong Villain
Similarities with Trivikram's earlier Films

'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' is a Trivikram mark entertainer. The 'Maatala Maanthrikudu' entertains the audiences with good one liners and comedy. The emotions are dealt well. The cast and crew are selected well and they did complete justice.

But the film lags in the second half and seems lengthy. Audiences might get a feeling that about 20 mins of the film can be edited out. There is no strong villain in the movie and climax might disappoint many. Some scenes remind us of those from some of Trivikram's earlier movies.

Despite its flaws, 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' is a fun movie to watch this Sankranthi season. Go watch it with your family.
