Anushka starrer ‘Rudramadevi’ under Gunsekhar’s direction has successfully completed 35% of the shooting in its first schedule. The second schedule will begin on July 3rd and will continue for 15 days at a specially erected 1000 pillars temple set in Annapurna Seven Acres, Hyderabad.

Gunasekhar said, “Ourput of the movie which was canned in the first schedule is extraordinary. My chief technicians who saw the rushes in IMAX 3D theater have expressed 100% satisfaction and are eager to begin the second schedule. The speciality of this film is Rs 5 crores worth of gold and diamond ornaments used for Anushka’s character. These ornaments will become as popular as Aishwarya Rai’s in ‘Jodha Akbar’. Neeta Lulla, who designed the ornaments for ‘Jodha Akbar’ has designed for this film too. We will shoot few key scenes and a song in the second schedule. The entire shooting will be completed by December. Suman is playing villain in this film.”

Suman said, “I played the main villain in Rajnikanth-Shankar’s ‘Sivaji’. That film got dubbed in Telugu. But this is the first time I’m playing villain in straight Telugu film which is in ‘Rudramadevi’. It’s the most powerful villain character which is the Harihara Deva character in the history of Kakathiya dynasty. I’m very thrilled to do this role in ‘Rudramadevi’ that is being made by a great technician like Gunasekhar. It’s a very challenging role. I’m very happy and proud to say that ‘Rudramadevi’ will be on par with standard of Hollywood movies.”
