A Telefilm with Ghantasala Life Story

Ghantasala, who added sweetness to the film songs, is an immortal playback singer. Gantasala songs and his memories continue to be popular even after 40 years of his death and they will stand out as immortals. His songs will be the library for the present generation and to the next generation playback singers. Many books have been made on the basis of his life story so far. And now, an avid fan of Gantasala, CH Ramarao, who presented a classic book named ‘Ghantasala Patasala’ with 555 songs and 828 pages, has penned the script for a telefilm. He worked for one year on the script with careful and deliberate effort. Karri Balaji, who made many telefilms and documentaries and also received Nandi Award, will direct ‘Ghantasala’ telefilm. The telefilm will be produced by Venu under the banner Soudamini Creations with senior producer KVV Satyanarayana, who delivered many successful films like ‘Sundarakanda’, ‘Kondapalli Raja’ and ‘Sukumarudu’, as the presenter. Bandla Brahmaswami is handling co-producer work. Prominent cinematographer PG Vinda, senior editor Goutham Raju and young music composer Mahith will be working for the telefilm.

On this occasion, director Karri Balaji said, “Ch Ramarao has readied the script with detailed investigation and analysis by visiting Ghantasala’s hometown Choutupalli, music learning place Vijayanagaram and Chennai where he raised up as a playback singer. We have plans to make full-length movie with this script. We will start the shooting of the telefilm on the birthday of Ghantasala i.e. on 4th of December. Shooting will take place in Choutupalli, Vijayanagaram, Chennai and Hyderabad. We are roping in a prominent stage actor for Ghantasala role. The rest of the cast are also finalized. The telefilm with 45mts duration will be telecast on top TV channel on the death anniversary of Ghantasala on February 11th.
