Manchu Lakshmi, who is going ahead as an actress and producer, is set to turn a singer. She sang a song ‘Asala Yandiro Mee Magalla Irraveege Goppa…’ in her forthcoming film, ‘Dongata’, directed by Vamsi Krishna. Apart from acting, she herself is producing the film. Adavi Sesh and Madhu Nandan are playing key roles in the film which is being made on Manchu Entertainments banner with Vidhyanirvana as presenter. Varikuppala Yadagiri wrote the song, while Raghu Kunche has specially provided the musical tunes for it.

An elated Lakshmi said, “Raghu Kunche and almost the entire team of the film felt that I should sing the song. The song comes before the interval time. We are even using it as promotional song. My father wanted me to become a playback singer and I’m very happy about fulfilling my father’s wish. The entire shoot of the film has been completed and dubbing works are at final stage. We are planning for a grand audio launch on April 11, at JRC Convection hall in Hyderabad. We are planning to bring the film to the audience by the end of this month.”

“I was tried to get Manchu Lakshmi to croon for ‘Disturb Chesthunnade…’ song in ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’, directed by Puri Jagannath. But, I was unsuccessful due to some reasons. She did a wonderful job in ‘Dongata’,” said Raghu Kunche.
