Young actor Kaushik, who is well known to the Telugu audience as child artist, has acquired good fame as hero in Malayalam. Presently, he is playing in a bilingual film ‘Mr. K’ which is being made in Telugu and Malayalam languages. Today, i.e. on August 17, he is celebrating his birthday. On this occasion, an interview has been given by Kaushik. Here are the few excerpts.

When I was a child artist, I used to celebrate all my birthdays at the shooting locations. This year, I’m celebrating my birthday at ‘Mr.K’ shooting location. We are shooting action sequences which come at climax at an Alluminium Factory. My Malayalam film ‘White Boys’ has won 3 state awards. This is the birthday gift for me. It has given me immense happiness.
I’m trying to change my image:
When I was studying 10th class, I played Ayyappa. After that I played Ramudu, Vishnu Murthy and Sivudu. I played in Ramayana and Mahabharata. As I’ve played many of godly characters, I got that image. I didn’t get the opportunity to play lover boy or action hero. My present project ‘Mr. K’ has all elements such as love, dance, action and comedy. Director Sashank Voleti is crafting the film as a comedy entertainer. I hope that I will get a break and I can change my image through this film. I’m waiting for the opportunity to play full length hero role.
I can speak Malayalam fluently. They encourage commercial and action films. They are encouraging me as their own. I’ve acted for four films. I’ve earned good name there. They complete the shooting of the film within 20 days. There are lot of variations between Mollywood and Tollywood regarding the production values, shooting days and on other matters. From now on, I’m planning to make all my films in both the languages.
All films which I’ve done till now are good. ‘Aadishankara’, ‘Shiridi Sai’ and ‘Pavitra’, those role will not come once again. I had got the wonderful opportunity to work with experienced persons like Raghavendra Rao, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna and Bharavi. I will not compare myself with my co-artists. I’m very happy with the stage where I’m. I personally like action films. As an actor, I like to play all types of roles.
