Nenu Local, Nani’s first film this year will be releasing on 3rd February. The actor talks about his film, equations with Keerthy Suresh and much more....
Nenu Local is an unusual tile, tell us about it and the film?
Why the film is title Nenu Local, will be revealed 10 mins before the climax of the film, so I wont dwell on that. About preparing for the role, there was not much to do as I was a local kid and an youngster. It all just fell into place. 
Is it true that many scenes in the film had to be re-shot because of Keerthy Suresh? How was it working with her?
She is a good actor and keeps learning a lot. It was good fun working with her. I too heard this news of re-shoot, but its untrue. She has many films in hand and has to adjust dates. There was some confusion regarding her dates, but all that was sorted out.
You seem to be a safe bet for producers?
I am glad that my films are doing well. It’s important that everyone associated with the film makes profit. Even the smallest distributor. Sometimes big films bomb. Distributors suffer and I would not call them hits.
I never thought of being from a non filmy background to be a problem. It’s a boon actually. When someone says that he is my fan, I am thrilled because he is mine and only my fan.
Are you tensed about Nenu Local?
No. I am always cool about my films. I never worry if they will be a hit or a flop. When audiences clap at my performance I get immense pleasure. I always make it a point to watch my films first day first show with the audience.
Kollywood and direction Comment?
I have been getting offers from Tamil films. In 2013-14 I had done Tamil films, now I don’t want to do these just for the heck of it. Directing a film is also not on cards. I am enjoying acting and want to continue to do so. Foraying into direction will be a wrong decision now.
