Gopichand Tottempudi, commonly known as Gopichand, was born in Tangutur, Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh, India, on 12th June 1979. He is an Indian Film on-screen Actor, famous for his role in Telugu cinema.
For his 2002 release, Jayam, he was awarded the Nandi Award for Best Villain. Some of his major releases include Nijam (2003), Yagnam (2004), Souryam (2008), Sankham (2009), Varsham (2004), Mogudu (2006), Lakshyam (2007), Sahasam (2013), Jil (2015), Aaradugula Bullet (2017), Loukyam (2014), Ontar (2008), Raraju (2006) and many more.
Gopichand was born to the director of the film industry, T. Krishna (Krishna Tottempudi). He married to the absolutely gorgeous woman Reshma on 12th May 2013, incredibly beautiful hunk Gopichand is blessed with two sons named Virat Krishna and Viyan Krishna.
It was almost likely, hailing from a family of actors, that this actor would sooner or later start his career in the film industry. He is the son of the director T. Krishna, editor and multiple times winner of the Film Fare. A little known truth about him is that he completed a whole long year's course on dialog modulation before starting on his very first movie.
So far, he has worked in more than 25 Telugu films, most of which were dubbed in Hindi. He is considered one of the few stars at the absolute top of the list in the film industry in Telugu.
Gopichand made his heroic debut with the movie Tholi Valapu. His next films Jayam, Nijam and Varsham played negative roles. He took up his role in the Tamil-language remake of the same title of the film after the good reaction to his success in Jayam.
He was seen playing an encounter specialist inspired by the real-life cop Daya Nayak in his 2010 release Golimar. He acted in Mogudu and Wanted in 2011. He met with director Chandra Sekhar Yeleti (after Okkadunnadu) in 2013 for the action-adventure film Sahasam, which at that time became his largest commercially successful film.
He still stays in the news and is always seen making headlines on several famous channels on numerous occasions for being an actor with an impeccable sense of fashion. His versatility won him immense respect and acclamation. He was acted recently in the movies Pantham and also Chanakya.
With the films (2004)Yagnam and Andhrudu in 2005, he made his re-entering as hero. In 2006, he starred in Ranam and Raraju.
HIs 2007 releases Okkadunnadu and Lakshyam, and 2008 release Souryam were all commercially successful , after which he again collaborated with Souryam director Siva to release Sankham in 2009.
He starred in Loukyam in 2014 and became his most popular film. He starred in Jil and Soukhyam in 2015. In 2017 he acted in Goutham Nanda and Oxygen.
His next film, Aaradugula Bullet, was scheduled to release the same year but remains unreleased. In 2018 he played his 25th film, a vigilante in Pantham. He was also played as spy in Chanakya in 2019. His upcoming movie will be Seetimaarr directed by Sampath Nandi.
