Nandamuri Balakrishna, with the backing of political family, saw his first victory at Hindupur constituency in Anantapur district in 2014 Assembly elections. Balakrishna contested election for Telugu Desam Party from Hindupur constituency and finished ahead of his rivals taking 15,000 votes more. His father Late NT Rama Rao, the founder of Telugu Desam Party and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh won thrice from the same constituency. Similarly his brother Hari Krishna too won the seat from Hindupur in the past. However, Balakrishna’s victory came after more than a decade. Therefore tension aroused among fans and TDP members at each round of counting of votes. Now as the results are out and Balakrishna emerged as clean winner, buzz is that he might takethe office if he gets a minister post and if that happens he’s most likely to quit films.

However, let’s wait and see what’s really going on in his mind. As of now, the actor turned politician is on cloud nine enjoying the success of his ‘Legend’ as well as his first victory in this 2014 Assembly elections.
