Anoop Rubens, who made his debut as music director through Teja’s ‘Jai’, has gained initial fame through ‘Ishq’. And now, he stood as one of the present top music directors list by rendering wonderful music to super hit films like ‘Lovely’, ‘Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde’, ‘Manam’, ‘Loukyam’ and most recently ‘Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham’. Anoop, who has provided music for over 37 films, has now provided another super hit audio by rendering different music to the latest Power star Pawan Kalyan and Victory Venkatesh family drama multi starrer ‘Gopala Gopala’. The recently released film ‘Gopala Gopala’ is receiving good response in perspective of audio and re-recording work. On the occasion of the success of the film, he took some time out to share few words with his fans through the media.

What is the difference in your music in ‘Gopala Gopala’ when compared to your earlier films?

Yes, there will be definitely a difference. Because it’s a different story and top heroes’ film. There is a concept oriented song. So, I would only do different format music according to situation of the song. There are no such songs in the film which are in regular format.

Tell us about your feelings when Pawan Kalyan said at audio function that he wanted to do a film with you?

It was an awesome experience. I was honoured when I heard Pawan Kalyan say that he would love to work with me again. It’s a pride and huge responsibility. He is a good hearted man, who encourages talent and treats everyone equally. An actor of his stature doesn't have to do that, but the fact that he said it proves how good-hearted he is.

Related to tunes, was there any time you was advised by heroes other than director?

Director and I have decided the suitable tunes. No special advises from heroes.

How many tracks did you make for three songs?

I did four tracks for just ‘Neede…Neede…’ song. One was selected out of those. I have to do give many options because the song in the film comes at a typical situation and it has some spirituality.

You have watched the film in theatre. So, what about the response?

The film has got stupendous response. There is a roar in theatres and it is like the roar in the stadium when India wins in the India vs Pakistan match. For the first time I have watched such response.

Tell us about your working experience with Venkatesh?

Actually, I worked as a keyboard player for Venkatesh’s film on Suresh productions. After that, I did ‘Daggubati’ song with full family on the occasion of Suresh Babu’s daughter marriage. Everyone in the family along with Venkatesh have sang the song.

Tell us how you felt when you got chance to do music for Venkatesh-Pawan Kalyan film?

I felt very happy and at the same time it’s a huge responsibility. I signed for ‘Gopala Gopala’, immediately the next day of the release of ‘Manam’. Suresh garu was very impressed with ‘Manam’ songs and background score. Suresh garu has given a hint to me during the time of ‘Bheemavaram Bullodu’. I didn’t understand at that time. But it is ‘Gopala Gopala’.

Which one is easy for the music director-Remake songs or straight songs?

To do a straight film music is easy for the music director because the original one will have some flavour. Whether we have to overcome the flavour or keep it as it is will always be a question. However, we have freedom while doing straight film music.

What are your ongoing projects?

I’m doing NTR’s ‘Temper’ and the film’s audio will be launched in this month. There is also a Nagarjuna’s film ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’.

Tell us about your working experience with the director Dolly too?

I felt very comfortable working with Dolly. He has a good music knowledge. He speaks Hindi well.
