Prabhas' 'best film' Vs Shah Rukh Khan's 'best film'

'Salaar' and 'Dunki' are going to hit the cinemas on December 22 and 21, respectively. Shah Rukh Khan today had a superlative description for the Rajkumari Hirani directorial: "It is my career's best film," the iconic Bollywood star said.

Prabhas hasn't called 'Salaar' his best film but the fans of Prashanth Neel and the actor ('and', not 'or') believe that it is his BEST FILM ever. What about the 'Baahubali' movies? This is where a qualifier is added. The fans believe that 'Salaar' has to be held to the standards of films set in contemporary or relatively recent times as against 'Baahubali', whose epic story unfolded hundreds of years back. Comparing the 'Baahubali' movies and 'Salaar' is akin to comparing apples and oranges.

SRK's filmography is robust. It is so robust that even SRK's most irrational fans are laughing at the 'Dunki is the best film in my career' remark. They know it is a publicity stunt.

On the other hand, Prabhas' filmography is less colourful. If you take out the three Rajamouli films he did, 'Varsham' and 'Mirchi', Prabhas' filmography is far duller than that of Mahesh Babu. So, 'Salaar' could just be his BEST FILM ever if the optimism generated by the Release Trailer holds. Rest, we will know in a matter of a few days!
