The release of 'Vaarasudu' has been deferred. The film, starring Vijay and directed by Vamsi Paidipally, will hit the cinemas on January 14.

'Varisu', the Tamil original, will be released in theatres on January 11. There is no change in that.

Dil Raju on Monday told the Hyderabad-based media that he has taken the decision to ease the Sankranthi competition. He suggested that 'Veera Simha Reddy' and 'Waltair Veerayya' will stand to benefit from the postponement of 'Vaarasudu'.

If you want to catch the Tamil version in Hyderabad on January 11, will you be able to do it? Dil Raju was non-committall. He answered that nothing has been decided on that front.

The producer said that 'Vaarasudu' is a 160-minute film whose content will do the talking. "Don't jump to conclusions just by watching the trailer. There is a running emotional core in the movie," Dil Raju said.

Will Thalapathy Vijay come to Hyderabad to promote the movie? "He might. I will try to bring him," the producer said.
