I didn't say I had cancer: Chiranjeevi

Megastar Chiranjeevi has been misquoted on Saturday. After he attended the opening ceremony of a cancer centre in Hyderabad, Chiru's speech was pathetically misinterpreted by a section of the media.

In his speech, the 'Bholaa Shankar' actor said that he once developed non-cancerous polyps. The issue was diagnosed and promptly treated, thanks to early screening. Chiru iterated that the non-malignant polyps might have become cancerous had it not been for timely health intervention.

His comment was misinterpreted to suggest that Chiru once suffered from cancer. As soon as local TV channels misreported his speech, a few web articles appeared in a hurry. Netizens and Chiru's die-hard fans expressed their shock.

Upst with the turn of events, Chiru took to Twitter and hit out at the media for propagating a lie. He asked the journalists to practice due diligence. The 'Waltair Veerayya' actor further wrote that his concerned and worried well-wishers Saturday flooded him with messages.
