Sarath Babu is no more. The veteran actor was 71. He battled with multiple health issues following a bout of multiple-organ failure. A team of specialists at a private hospital in Hyderabad closely monitored his health status for about three weeks.
'Rama Rajyam', the Telugu movie, was Sarath Babu's debut (in 1973). He went on to act with big names not only in Telugu but also in Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Sarath Babu was married twice. Rama Prabha was his first wife. Their marriage ended in discord, including property-related controversies. His second wife was Snehalatha, who divorced him in 2011, almost 21 years after marrying him. However, in an interview in 2019, Sarath Babu described Snehalatha as his first wife. He added that his relationship with Rama Prabha had no name.
Rama Prabha once accused Sarath Babu of ulterior motive. Vehemently denying the same, Sarath Babu said, "I gifted her prime property in Chennai by selling off agricultural land, whose value as of 2019 is Rs 60 Cr."
