Ravi Teja, Gopichand Malineni's project hits a hurdle: Reports

In July, a film in the 'Krack' combo was announced by Mythri Movie Makers. Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and his favourite director Gopichand Malineni came together for a prestigious action drama to be bankrolled by the Naveen Yerneni-Y Ravi Shankar duo.

About four months later, the untitled biggie has reportedly hit a hurdle. In the wake of streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video thinking twice before locking fancy OTT deals with a lot of filmmakers, the budget of the movie has supposedly been reconsidered.

Where OTT platforms were shelling out fab numbers for post-theatrical digital rights, they are hardly paying that much now. The buzz in the town is that the OTT stream of revenue is past its prime, with a peak coming early this year. The party was long over for small films. It seems even big films will now face some headwinds.

This re-evaluation on the part of Telugu film producers might result in reduced remunerations for heroes.
