Vishal makes a bold statement against CM's son's banner

Not many know that the Tamil film industry has shown feudalistic and monopolistic tendencies in recent years. A few players in the distribution sector have gained an upper hand. The biggest player among them is Red Giant Movies, the banner and distribution company owned by Udayanidhi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin. It's because of the domination of players like him and Sun Pictures that no big star in Kollywood dares to speak out against the corruption of the DMK government.

However, days before the release of his movie 'Rathnam' on April 26, actor Vishal today surprised everyone by saying that Red Giant has been practising monopoly in Kollywood. He also alleged that his previous releases, 'Enemy' and 'Mark Antony', didn't receive proper support because of this monopoly. He also suggested that his upcoming movie might face similar issues.

Vishal in the past has spoken out against some political parties, especially the BJP. But those criticisms were purely in political contexts.
