According to industry trackers and data from BMS (BookMyShow, the ticketing platform), the Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR starrer witnessed a remarkable jump of over 50% on August 15 in Hindi (Indian box office).
On August 15, War 2 sold an impressive 747.44K tickets (all versions), a clear victory over Coolie's 573.82K (additionally, Coolie's Hindi version's figure stands at 116.66K). The huge holiday jump witnessed by War 2 has renewed the interest of film observers in the film's long-term potential.
Many Bollywood films are designed to attract a large audience on their first day and over the opening weekend. This is often fueled by extensive marketing, promotions, and the star power of the lead actors. Since War 2 was a Thursday release, the Independence Day collections were waiting to witness a surge.
