During the ongoing police investigation, iBomma Ravi has revealed the methods he used to commit movie piracy. He confessed to running a piracy business by distributing pirated prints of new movies through Telegram channels.

Rather than just using ordinary prints, he actually hacked into the Qube network and satellite links to record movies in HD format. He set up a dedicated Telegram channel named HD Hub to sell these pirated movies. He clarified that he charged between $100 to $300 per link uploaded to the channel. He admitted to pirating recent movies like Hit 3 and Kishkindhapuri specifically through satellite link hacking.

The Nampally Court has granted 12 days of police custody for Ravi for investigation across three different cases. Following the court's orders, Cyber Crime police took him into custody from Chanchalguda Jail on Thursday and are continuing their investigation.

Meanwhile, as per Telangana Today, the arrest of Ravi has brought in its wake a "fresh wave of online piracy, with individuals registering look-alike domains and circulating pirated films through social media and anonymous websites". In this context, the Cyber Crime department has further intensified surveillance.
