In July last year, when the title poster of Suriya's 'Karuppu' was released, it sparked a row. The announcement suggested that the title will be retained for the Telugu dubbed version as well. Netizens took to social media to express their views, primarily focusing on the lack of localization for Tamil films released in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
It seems the makers have got the memo. They have named the film as Veera Bhadrudu in Telugu.
Veera Bhadrudu is directed by RJ Balaji, who also plays a crucial role alongside Trisha Krishnan and Suriya. The film has music composed by Sai Abhyankkar (the most happening Kollywood composer after Anirudh), and cinematography handled by G. K. Vishnu (of Krack, Ravanasura and Jawan fame). The action drama is slated to hit the cinemas in both Telugu and Tamil on May 14.
