LIK Trailer: Pradeep Ranganathan, SJ Suryah are ideological enemies

LIK, written and directed by Vignesh Shivan, has SJ Suryah playing the head of the "Love Insurance Kompany," which uses a high-tech app to predict the success or failure of relationships. In the trailer, he famously claims, "My app is like God," as it determines whether couples will stay together or break up. Dheema (Krithi Shetty) and Vassey (Pradeep Ranganathan) fall in love with each other. When Dheema wants to break up with him, the hero wonders how she is letting an app decide their collective future.

Rather than centering on SJ Suryah’s character, the true antagonist of the story is technological tyranny. While traditional romances often find conflict in class divides, caste, or personal compatibility, Love Insurance Kompany (LIK) innovates by placing a malicious algorithm at the heart of its narrative.

The production is a collaborative effort produced by Nayanthara and produced and presented by SS Lalit Kumar. On the technical front, the movie features a musical score by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography by Ravi Varman. The visual world was crafted by production designer T Muthuraj and art director Kannan S, while Pradeep E Ragav handled the editing. The film’s action sequences were choreographed by a stunt team consisting of Peter Hein, Kecha Khamphakdee, and Chethan D'Souza.

LIK will hit the cinemas on April 10.
