Playback singer Geetha Madhuri, in the late 2010s, was into casino and such gambling activities (in territories where it is legal). She admittedly lost a few lakhs to the "irresistible" habit.
She once told a YouTube channel that she started playing casino games just for the thrill of it while on a foreign visit. "Whether you lose or gain money, the thrill is there," the famous singer shared.
However, with her losing lakhs of rupees over a period of time, she learned her lessons and gave up on the itch. Her husband, actor Nandu, was once quoted as saying that she continued to participate in betting at times but it involved sums as low as Rs 10,000.
In an interview to NTV recently, Geetha Madhuri suggested that financial planning is essential.
