It's known that singer Mangli has been named in a police complaint by a Hyderabad-based Advocate named Subbu Singapogu. As per the complainant, she was party to a microfinance fraud amounting to more than Rs 10 Cr.
Speaking to the media, Mangli described the complaint as false. "The allegations are fake. I am ready to cooperate with investigators," the singer stated.
When the news came out, she was in Bengaluru. "Subbu is a Bharatanatyam dancer who has been planning to enter the film industry. He is in search of fame. My sympathies are with his victims. A Banjara Girijana woman (referring to herself) is being targeted unfairly," Mangli shared. Satyavathi Mudavath is her real name.
Mangli added that she will fight for justice on behalf of the victims who have been defrauded of crores of rupees. "I urge the police department to please act against the culprits," she added.
Mangli further said: "Subbu has been crushing on Sreemukhi (TV anchor). He is also desperate to enter Bigg Boss Telugu, the reality show. I have made it to this stage in life with the blessings of people and the support of the media. I can't think of cheating anybody."
