r. Rajendra Prasad's Pithapuram Lo... Ala Modalaindi is heading to theatres on May 1. The release date was made official today by director Mahesh Chandra, whose breakout movie Preyasi Rave remains a cult classic for many. Legendary comedian Brahmanandam has provided his voice-over.
Announcing the release date, the makers celebrated the "tremendous response" the film's promotional material (particularly its trailer and two of the tracks from the movie) enjoyed. They promise not only feel-good romance but also nuanced comedy. Since Mahesh Chandra belongs to the 1990s era, expect the sensibilities around the emotions to be dramatic. Rajkumar Wodeyar, a sculptor, will be seen in a role.
The film functions as a poignant cautionary tale, illustrating the stakes for a younger generation at a crossroads. It offers a restorative outlook that bridges the generational gap. With characters so authentic they feel like neighbors, the narrative unfolds with a fly-on-the-wall realism, as if a camera were merely documenting life in real-time.
Mahesh Chandra Productions' Dundigalla Balakrishna, Akula Suresh Patel, and FM Murali (Godari Kittayya) have bankrolled the movie. Prudhviraj, Kedar Shankar, Mani Chandana, Jayavahini, Annapurnamma, Dasari Padma, Sunny Akhil, Virat, Sai Praneeth, Srilu, Pratyusha, Rehana, Jr. Pawan Kalyan, JDV Prasad, 'KA Paul' Ramu, and Jabardasth Seshu are part of the cast. Sriram Edoti developed the story and wrote dialogues. Akula Suresh Patel is the story-writer.
