Kollywood director Vignesh Shivan (actress Nayanthara's husband) recently shared a surprising story about his new film Love Insurance Kompany. The project was originally titled LIC, standing for Love Insurance Company. However, the Life Insurance Corporation of India took notice. The organization sent a legal notice to the production team. Nayanthara has produced the sci-fi romantic entertainer.

The juiciest part comes now. The LIC demanded a licensing fee of Rs 112 crore to keep the original name. The director admitted he did not have that kind of money. He laughed about the situation during recent film promotions. The director had to find a quick alternative. He considered several three-letter combinations including LIP and LIT. He eventually chose LIK and changed the spelling of Company to Kompany.

Starring Pradeep Ranganathan, SJ Suryah and Krithi Shetty in main roles, LIK was released on April 10. It turned out to be a total disaster in Telugu. This is the first major flop in PR's career.
