Pallichattambi has debuted at the Malayalam box office with a bang. In Telugu, the period ideological action drama will make its debut this Friday (April 17).
On Thursday, after a media premiere in Hyderabad, producer Chaitanya stated that the hard of 1.5 years is finally giving its due in the form of a thoroughgoing response from the audience. "We expect the Telugu-dubbed version to do as well as the Malayalam original," he added. Around 2,000 people worked for 130 days on this project, revealed producer Charan, describing the performance in Malayalam as massive. He was visibly emotional. Producer Chanakya is more than satisfied with the tremendous response. As a new producer-trio, they couldn't have asked for more. "Pallichattambi is suited to be watched with your family. Even children are enjoying its sequences. C Cube Bros Entertainments has resolved to bring out many more such good films in future.
The film tells the story of an ideological clash between Communism and faith. Naufal and Brijesh of World Wide Films have also produced it. There is a surprise role played by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The makers had kept it under wraps to maintain "surprise factor".
Associate Producer Mega Shyam, who has also been a Tollywood PRO, thanked the media for their support. Bunny Vas came in for a mention by him. Saying that he entered the film industry because of director Maruthi, Shyam further described the C Cube producers as brotherly.
Pallichattambi features Tovino Thomas as an Inquisitor-type role, siding with the Church. Kayadu Lohar plays a Communist artist. Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam, Prashant Alexander, and others are part of the cast. Dileep Nath has done the production design. Jakes Bejoy and Sreejith Sarang are its music director and cinematographer, respectively.
