Producer Kiran Abbavaram stated that they are very happy seeing the response coming from both the media and the audience. He highlighted the film's impact on family viewers who are "connecting strongly with the emotional narrative". The KA Productions supremo praised the work of the newcomers and specifically mentioned the second half and the climax twist. He urged families to watch the film in theaters to support the fresh talent involved in the project. As many as sixty newcomers have worked on the project.
Veda Jalandharr, who plays the female lead, shared that the team has been receiving phone calls with positive feedback from rural areas. She noted that the film is getting houseful shows and stated the response is even better than what we expected while making this film for family audiences. Sai Tej is her pair in the Summer release.
The movie follows life in a remote 1990s village centered around a single television set. Director V. Muniraju expressed his pride in the film's reach. He mentioned that viewers are finding the story nostalgic and that it brings back their memories.
Set in the village of Thimmarajupalli, the story takes place in the year 1996 when Dish TV was the preserve of the upper-middle-class in villages. The film revolves around the social friction sparked by the arrival of a new television set. Rajappa derives pride as the owner of the village's first TV set. He screens movies to villagers, only to lose privacy in the process. He is newly married. Satish is in love with Rajappa's sister, Sarada. When a duel breaks out between Rajappa and Satish, the latter warns him his pride, the TV set, will be his target. What happens next is a commentary on multiple themes.
The makers of Thimmarajupalli TV are confident that their movie will continue its steady run at the box office through the weekend.
