Hombale Films has officially announced its latest grand project titled Mahavatar Parshuraam, an animation movie. It marks the second edition of their ambitious Mahavatar series. To be also produced by Kleem Productions, it follows last year's Mahavatar Narasimha.
The film will head to theatres in December 2027.

ππππ, πππ ππππππ πππππ. Not a ruler, but a force against adharma, restoring balance across ages," producer Vijay Kiragandur stated. Sam CS will compose the music. "First, we felt the fury of the Lion. Now, we witness the judgment of the Axe," the makers further added. Axe is Lord Parshuraam's weapon.
Over the next 11 years, six MCU films (including the Parashuram movie) will be released. Mahavatar Raghunandan will be out in 2029. There are two films on Lord Krishna (to be released in 2031 and 2033), while two others will revolve around the upcoming Lord Vishnu avatar, Kalki (to be released in 2035 and 2037). So, Mahavatar Kalki: Part 1 and Mahavatar Kalki: Part 2 will be the final movies.
When the MCU was made official in June 2025, there was scepticism all around regarding the potential of the animation format. However, the monstrous success of the Narasimha edition ended all doubts.
