Before Bhari, Volley wants to arrive at cinemas

Recently, Varun Tej's Bhari was announced by Niharika Konidela. The volleyball-based movie will head to theatres for Sankranthi 2027 (unless a postponement happens because of the hero's recent injury and surgery).

On Sunday, a new volleyball-based movie was made official. Its motion poster suggests the movie is ready to be released this year itself. It is directed by Dilip K Manukonda. "Our film is set against a coastal rural backdrop and dives into the lives of two brothers while showcasing an intense, emotionally charged grassroots-level volleyball world," the makers stated. Volley is currently in the post-production phase.

Bhari is being made on a bigger scale. It is directed by a proven filmmaker (Yadhu Vamsi of Committee Kurrollu). Its sensibilities and treatment are expected to be grounded and raw. On the other hand, Volley will have to be extremely inventive if it has to find traction at the box office. Since it features unknown actors (Ronith GRG and Nipun Satya) in lead roles, it has a huge challenge up its sleeve.
