Thalapathy Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has focused on massive, high-impact rallies in recent weeks. His party's street-level campaigning has not been robust.
Netizens are criticizing him for his 'air conditioned' campaigning. "Vijay has chosen the comfort of the caravan. He came out just 10 times over the last 45-50 days. In contrast, AIADMK's EPS toured each Constituency twice. The BJP's Annamalai touched 93 constituencies," wrote Venkataramana Reddy, a netizen who keenly follows politics.
The "air-conditioned caravan travel" by the Jana Nayagan actor has been contrasted with the foot marches of other leaders. His party argues that their strategy focuses on large-scale mobilization rather than daily optics.
It's being said that if the DMK retains the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Vijay's woes will only go up. "Chief Minister MK Stalin is going to use new tactics to break Vijay's financial back. The aim would be to weaken him by the next election cycle," a commentator recently said.
