Recently, a politician named Raghav Chadha switched from the AAP to the BJP. Navjot Kaur Sidhu, the wife of Navjot Singh Sidhu, has claimed that actress Priyanka Chopra mediated the defection.
As per her, it was the internationally-acclaimed superstar actress who orchestrated Raghav Chadha's recent move to the BJP without coming to the forefront. According to her, there is a personal interest involved. The AAP leadership was allegedly targeting Raghav, Priyanka's brother-in-law. Therefore, she intervened to protect him from Amit Shah's alleged plans to unleash ED raids.
Raghav is married to Priyanka's cousin, Parineeti Chopra (also an actress). Allegedly, Priyanka reached out to top BJP leaders to ensure her brother-in-law's safety.
Priyanka Chopra has not yet commented on the allegations. Varanasi is her biggest Indian film project ever. She plays Mandakini, an action-heavy character in the Rajamouli-Mahesh Babu movie. She has shot for the movie in Africa and India. Varanasi will hit the cinemas on April 7, 2027.
