Nandamuri Basava Tarakam NTR Charitable Trust launches relief drive for Assam flood victims

The Nandamuri Basava Tarakam NTR Charitable Trust has launched a relief drive for flood victims in Assam. The floods have killed 75 people and displaced lakhs across seven districts. Many families lack food, water, medicines, and shelter.

Trust appeals for support

The Trust has appealed to fans and the public to help the flood victims. It is collecting clothes, blankets, footwear, dry food, rice, drinking water, and sanitary kits. These materials will be sent to affected families in Assam.

Drive flagged off in Hyderabad

The collection drive began at the NTR Statue in JNTU, KPHB, Hyderabad. Chief guests Nandamuri Mohana Roopa, Tummala Prasanna Kumar, and NBK Fan Anantapur Jagan attended the event.

Volunteers join the cause

Members of Balayya Yuva Sena took part in the drive. They included Atluri Deepak, Sattar, Cherukuri Ravi, Marni Pawan, Potluri Ramakrishna, Potluri Rajesh, Vinay Chava, Komma Vikram, Karnati Kondal Rao, Madan Mohan, Gopi Krishna Kakarla, Srinivas Kolluri, Harendra Babu, Manideep, Gautham, and Sai. Many other volunteers also joined in.

Overwhelming public response

The initiative has drawn a strong response from the public. People from different regions have called in to offer their support.

Mohana Roopa thanks supporters

Nandamuri Mohana Roopa thanked everyone who supported the drive. She urged people to keep contributing through the Trust, adding that every contribution, big or small, will bring relief to flood-hit families in Assam.

The Trust reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian service, calling on citizens to stand united with the people of Assam in this crisis.
