Pyaar Prema Kalyanam will make its digital debut on Netflix next week. The streaming giant has announced the date: August 21.

Elan and Saanve Megghana play the film's romantic lead pair. They are part of a "serious subject" whose comedic sensibility will be engaging. The film offers a lighthearted take on post-marital life, following the comical struggles a husband faces when his new wife moves into his home. PPK took all of 32 working days to be wrapped up.

Elan has not only headlined PPK but is also its director. He praised Saanve's cooperative attitude throughout. He co-wrote the additional dialogues and screenplay with Harish G.Y, while Niveditha Pohankar co-wrote the story. "Telugu audiences have been receiving us warmly," he added.

Producer Srinidhi Sagar, who has previously collaborated with Netflix on Made In Korea (which was a hit), expects a similar range of success with PPK. While Elan has already worked with him once, Saanve, a Telugu-speaking actress, is enjoying his hospitality in Tamil for the first time. "It was my wish to introduce her in the language. Of course, that wasn't possible because she worked on some other Tamil project," he shared. The producer hails from Andhra (Guntur), but has been settled in Tamil Nadu.

Saanve Megghana has previously acted in the Netflix original Pitta Kathalu, for which she united with Pelli Choopulu maker Tharun Bhascker. She lauded her male co-star's dedication. Radhika Sarathkumar, seen in today's theatrical release Vishwanath And Sons, has a prominent role in PPK. "She has killed it with her acting," Saanve says. Rise East Entertainment is the production house.

The film features a musical score by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with cinematography handled by Dinesh Babu A. Gopi Anand and Srinivasa Kalinga served as the production designers, while the editing was completed by Pradeep E Raghav.

In Pyaar Prema Kalyanam, the lead pair will be breaking kalyanam traditions with pyaar and prema. MS Bhaskar, Geetha Kailasam, and Elango Kumaravel are playing different roles.
