Back in 2018, actor Naga Shaurya found himself at the center of an unexpected controversy after speaking candidly about working alongside Sai Pallavi on their film Kanam (released in Tamil as Diya). In a TV interview, the Chalo actor described her as the hardest colleague he had ever shared a set with, pointing to frequent delays and a general lack of discipline that, in his account, complicated the shoot. He went further, suggesting she had a tendency to overshadow fellow actors and that the two struggled to build a working rapport.
"She will be out of focus," the Oh! Baby and Krishna Vrinda Vihari star shared.
The remarks didn't sit well with her admirers. Sai Pallavi eventually broke her silence, revealing she had reached out directly to the director to ask whether she had unknowingly caused friction on set.
Sai Pallavi is currently doing the Ramayana duology with Ranbir Kapoor. November 6/8 is when the first part will head to theatres. Naga Shaurya was recently seen in Bad Boy Karthik, which turned out to be a commercial disaster.
