Dil Raju is the prime distributor of Yash's Toxic in the Telugu States. He sold the movie's theatrical release rights to buyers on a territory-wise basis.
Several months ago, Raju advertized that Toxic's rights were sold for Rs 120 Cr. This is said to be an inflated claim. The actual value of the deal is Rs 80 Cr, the latest media reports say. Now that Toxic faces the risk of ending up as a flop in Telugu, what happens to this Rs 80 Cr? Is Raju in for another Game Changer-like nightmare? Will he join the company of S Naga Vamsi, who lost out on War 2 last year?
As per trade reports and insider talk, Raju is not in trouble at all. Producers Venkat K Narayana and Yash had agreed to part with the advances within 15 days should Raju and the buyers incur losses. So, it's KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations that are in actual trouble.
There is also a theory that KVN Productions will be carrying forward the losses to Kaaka, Megastar Chiranjeevi's 158th movie. Its distribution rights will be given to Dil Raju to compensate for Toxic's losses.
