The way Nayanthara sees her character in Yash's Toxic and the way critics have seen it has no link whatsoever. While the Lady Superstar found the Geetu Mohandas-etched character meaty, critics have described it as vacuous.
In her first pots-release observation, the multi-lingual actress described her Toxic character, Ganga, as something she felt very connected to. "Yes, she is fierce and strong, and I think that’s what you see immediately in the promos. But there’s so much more to her than that," she told Variety.
It's believed that she has been paid a whopping fee of Rs 12 crore for the role. While her character is confined to the first half, it is more integral to the story than that of Rukmini Vasanth. The only female character that gets more prominence than her is Kiara Advani's Nadia. Nayanthara is currently doing a film opposite actor Salman Khan. This one is directed by Vamsi Paidipally.
