Shot on Natural Star Nani and Keerthy Suresh (his Dasara co-star enlisted just for the song), the song feels like a commercially engineered distraction and nothing more. It's guilty of quite a few sins "item" songs are known for in Indian cinema, the primary one being the male gaze and objectification of the female lead.
The Paradise is supposedly the rooted tale of a heroic rebel leader who lived in the decades following India's Independence. Aaya Sher, with its chaotic energy and originality, did full justice to such a robust character. On the other hand, Yeshanagula feels generic, with the dance choreography found wanting. Anirudh Ravichander's tune is derivative, drawn from a known folk tune.
The Paradise, co-starring Dr. Mohan Babu and Raghav Juyal, is scheduled to be released in theatres on September 24.
