Rishab Shetty has joined Kannada actors such as Upendra and Kiccha Sudeepa to lavish praises on Toxic, a declared box-office flop. While others were generic, the Jai Hanuman actor was precise in his review, writing that he is truly impressed by the "conviction with which the struggle of a powerful man has been portrayed" in the Geetu Mohandas directorial.
Doffing a hat at Yash, Rishab wrote that the "larger-than-life performance" could be clearly felt in every single scene. He then wrote about why Toxic is far from being a straightforward movie.
"Maybe the plot and driving characters are not on the usual track on which most films travel, but that doesn’t mean the track is wrong. The effort that goes into telling a story, and the journey it takes from being a thought in the mind to becoming a film on screen, is humongous," he wrote. Rishab then touched upon the psychological nature of the plot. "It’s not easy to give the audience an experience of how guilt multiplies and increases the toxicity in life. I stand with you for attempting this daring experiment, sir," Rishab Shetty wrote.
