What is happening on the Kalki 2 front? While the movie went on the floors months ago, only about 10 days of shoot has been completed so far. Nag Ashwin is waiting for Prabhas to finish his current assignments.
"We haven't finished much. We are waiting for Prabhas to become free. Once he is available, the shoot will happen at a stretch," the filmmaker said today.
Last year, the Yevade Subrahmanyam and Mahanati maker stated that the scale of the action blocks is more expansive than those in the first part, necessitating extensive pre-viz. Co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan, Kalki 2 was supposed to complete at least 50% of its production by now. Prabhas' Fauzi and Spirit got delayed, bringing in their wake Kalki 2's inevitable delay.
Fauzi will head to theatres on December 3. Spirit is scheduled to arrive in theatres on 5 March 2027. Kalki 2 will lock its release date later.
