In this women-centric project, she is set to portray the character of Lakshmi Pranathi, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The makers promise that her role will be a central highlight. Queen is being directed by Rathan Rishi and produced under the One Circle Films banner. Interestingly, the film features popular social media influencer ER Yamini in the lead role. The narrative unfolds between the years 2006 and 2010. It blends a political thriller with an engaging love story. "The plot is fictional. However, it draws heavy inspiration from real-life personalities and contemporary social incidents," the makers shared.
Ramya Krishna brings decades of elite acting experience to this high-stakes narrative. She was seen as the fierce and arrogant Neelambari in Narasimha, matching the energy of superstar Rajinikanth. As the queen mother Sivagami in the Baahubali franchise, she was unmatched.
