Jagadguru Paramahamsa Acharya from Ayodhya has announced a Rs 5 crore reward for anyone who kills Aamir Khan. He also claimed that he would bear the legal expenses of the person responsible.
As per national media reports, the remarks were made during comments on the controversy surrounding Aamir Khan's recent marriage (his third). The saint alleged that the actor was promoting Love Jihad.
Several news organizations have reported the comments. Videos circulating on social media also appear to show the priest making the controversial remarks. As of now, the reported statement remains at the center of the controversy.
Although the Hindu priest made the remarks on Tuesday, it's only a day later that most media outlets started publishing it after due verification.
Recently, a Bajrang Dal functionary threatened action against Aamir Khan if he marries one more time.
