Kiran Abbavaram is facing embarrassment in his promotional interviews ahead of the release of Chennai Love Story. He has been quizzed about whether his 2024 movie, KA, was really a blockbuster/hit.
Recently, KA's producer commented that there is a wide gulf between the publicized BO figure and the actual figure. Kiran, on the other hand, claims that the movie recovered twice the amount its pre-release theatrical business had fetched. "It was a double blockbuster (for distributors)," the actor clarifies. Producer SKN of Baby fame came to Kiran's defense at a presser. "Many times, the producer doesn't receive the full quantum of collections. I am yet to receive some Baby-related dues," SKN said.
Kiran Abbavaram holds KA in high esteem. He sees the project as a turning point in his career. The karmic thriller, whose climax was acclaimed, clashed with Amaran and Lucky Bhaskar. "Considering the competition, it did extremely well," Kiran adds. KA 2 will not be headlined by Kiran.
