Senior actor and former BJP leader VK Naresh has claimed the current fuel policy is causing severe engine damage to vehicles, ranging from ordinary bikes to high-end luxury cars.

The actor shared a recent incident involving his friend, a BJP sympathizer, who had to replace the engine valves of his new Toyota Camry. The repair cost a staggering Rs 3.5 lakh. The Rangasthalam actor expressed deep anxiety over his own new Porsche Panamera, stating that a similar engine repair could cost around Rs 12 lakh. To avoid this risk, he switched to high-octane 100 petrol, which costs a premium Rs 165 per litre. He questioned how ordinary bike users could survive such financial burdens.

Naresh acknowledged the strong think tank capabilities of the BJP. However, he labeled the current hasty decision to protect the environment at the cost of citizens as radical. He noted that smaller countries like Brazil implemented ethanol fuel in a successful, phased manner. Warning his former party, Naresh pointed out that the recent coalition government results show clear voter dissatisfaction. With only two years remaining until the next general elections, he described the hasty fuel transition as a serious red signal for the ruling party. He reminded the party that the previous election results led to a coalition government. He called the current situation a red signal for the BJP.
