Avengers: Doomsday, starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Paul Rudd, Anthony Mackie, Florence Pugh, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Wyatt Russell, Channing Tatum and others, is in the news over its Trailer.
The trailer hasn't received applause universally. Many viewers called it "meh," "okayish," or "anticlimactic," noting it lacked hype, emotional weight, or a strong sense of threat despite the stacked cast and RDJ as Doctor Doom. Critics described it as "flat," "bleak," "lukewarm," or like "a lukewarm bowl of soup." The music, cinematics, and dialogues didn't convey severity or excitement. Some felt it failed to build real hype or new information beyond confirming character returns.
Many saw it as relying heavily on callbacks. Several pointed out shots that looked AI-like, or not up to modern standards. Early CGI complaints are common, but some felt the overall quality didn't impress.
The American superhero film is jointly directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo. The Marvel Comics movie is produced by Marvel Studios and AGBO.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to be released in the US on December 18. The sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, is set to be released on December 17 next year.
