SS Rajamouli has vowed to bring his daughter SS Mayookha and daughter-in-law (SS Karthikeya's wife) to cinema. He suggested that he has been trying to convince them. It has to be seen what roles he will assign to them.
The filmmaker, celebrated for the Baahubali movies and RRR, implied in a recent interview that having his family on the sets of his movie is an emotional necessity, considering he goes home just to sleep. He is there on the set in the wee hours and works four 4-5 hours after the shoot ends for the day. He gets intimately involved in post-production on a daily basis. That leaves him with just 6-7 hours to sleep. He doesn't want to miss his family life. That's why he "tricked" his family, particularly wife Rama and son Karthikeya, into entering the industry.
The family's secret recipe:
"I can challenge that nobody works hard like us. We worked for 20 hours a day for 4.5 hours at a stretch on the Baahubali movies. We never questioned the gruelling schedule. We feel hard work runs in our genes," Rama said.
Karthikeya's rise:
Karthikeya is currently bankrolling Varanasi as the second producer (the first one being KL Narayana). Many years ago, Rama said in an interview that Karthikeya had no intent to be associated with Rajamouli's future projects as he was planning to make smaller movies on his own. He has since produced the Telugu version of Premalu, getting full support from Rajamouli.
