What is Nivetha Pethuraj doing in Aadarsha Kutumbam? Is she just the lead man's side chick?
The secondary beauties in Trivikram Srinivas' movies have had infamously limited roles. Eesha Rebba in Aravindha Sametha. Nivetha herself in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. And, more recently, Meenakshi Choudhary in Guntur Kaaram. All the three women played a second fiddle to the primary lead woman: Pooja Hegde, Pooja Hegde (again), and Sreeleela.
Aadarsha Kutumbam is going to be all about Venkatesh, Srinidhi Shetty and their kids. That's a given. Nivetha's presence, however, needn't be Trivikram-coded. It can be Nelson-coded, too. If she is doing something unexpected in the film, that would sit well with today's demanding audiences. She should drive the plot in an unexpected direction. Since she is seen pro-actively waving at Venkatesh in the latest promotional asset, is she honey-trapping him (in real life, such a thing has a higher probability, actually)?
Produced by S Radha Krishna (Chinababu), Aadarsha Kutumbam will grace the big screens on October 2.
