There is a theory that the makers of Ramayana themselves are behind the trolling. "This could be a hit job. The team wants to distract the audience from the negatives of the trailer," a journalist suggested online.

"The film 'The Kashmir Files' showed how Kashmiri Pandits were killed at the time. If you are taking the issue as a religious conflict, recently a Muslim driver who was transporting cows was beaten up and forced to chant 'Jai Shri Ram'.
